statement

I am working with sculptures meant only to be captured by the camera. Photography is exceptional at creating documents of fleeting objects, which then stand for a record of what was lost, similar to Stieglitz’s photograph of Duchamp’s ‘fountain”.

The documentation of the temporariness of these objects, that being packing material for the item we deem necessary in our lives, now becomes a monument to our consumption habits. Thus the camera preserves these objects for future generations to observe and study.
